Iva joined Northeastern Law’s online Master of Laws (LLM) to further her legal studies and prepare to take the bar exam. Because the LLM program was designed to fit the busy lives of legal professionals, Iva was able to continue working full time while completing her degree. She used her time in the program to build substantial knowledge of U.S. law.
Iva credits the Northeastern network with the opportunity to make connections among her peers and the program faculty.
What previous experience did you have in the legal industry that sparked your interest in Northeastern’s online LLM degree?
I have a law degree from the University of Tirana in Albania.
What about the online format appealed to you?
All the flexibility that online classes offered while I was working full time.
How does the curriculum in the online LLM program prepare you for future success in the legal industry?
I’ve gained substantial knowledge on the U.S. Law and am well prepared for the Bar exam.
How has the Northeastern student and faculty network allowed you to advance your professional life?
It’s provided me with several professional opportunities through networking and making connections.
What lessons and skills taught in the online LLM program helped you find success in your current career?
I gained a deep understanding of U.S. law as well as advanced analysis and research skills.
What advice do you have for current and future students completing the program?
Try to interact with the professors and the students as much as possible in your courses and through discussion posts.
